Webinar – SMSF estate planning considerations

SMSF trustees have a minimum annual requirement to review the fund’s investment strategy and whilst no such regulatory requirement exists for reviewing the fund’s succession plan, it is just as critical.  Having an appreciation for what the SMSF trustee structure might look like when a member passes away is just as important and having clear and concise instructions from the members as to how they want their benefits to be paid.

 
In this webinar, Tim Miller from Smarter SMSF will highlight the key considerations when it comes to estate planning within an SMSF.  The session will consider the trustee requirements with regards to the death of both individual trustees and directors of corporate trustees as well as the member considerations covering who can receive a death benefit, the tax implications for the recipient and ensuring death benefit nominations are appropriately documente
