Interactive contribution strategies in an SMSF

SMSF trustees can accept contributions on behalf of fund members through all stages of their lifecycle from pre-adulthood to post retirement.  Knowing what strategies are available to who at what stages is critical and keeping up to date with all the changes can be challenging.

In this webinar, Tim Miller from Smarter SMSF will use his contribution matrix to work through not just the strategies that are available through an SMSF but who the strategies are best suited to and what conditions need to be met to be eligible for the strategies available.  The session will consider the trustee requirements with regards to accepting contributions as well as highlight the consequences when members and trustees get it wrong.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this webinar, participants will have an appreciation for:

  • Identifying which strategies are suited for different members
  • Which strategies work well together to maximise member balances
  • The various nomination & lodgement requirements for different contribution strategies
  • The problems that can arise when clients get things wrong
