Webinar – A guide to SMSF investment strategies

SMSF trustees have a requirement to regularly review their fund’s investment strategy and there is no doubt that this regulatory obligation is coming more and more under the scrutiny of the ATO.  In the past couple of years we have seen the ATO communicating with funds and auditors about market valuations and diversification and there has been a slew of investment related court cases of recent times, leading to the conclusion that investment decisions have to start somewhere, and that place is the investment strategy.

In this webinar, Tim Miller from Smarter SMSF will highlight the key requirements for the creation and maintenance of an SMSF investment strategy as well as identify when a review should occur and how this can be recognised by the trustees.  The session will consider how much detail a strategy needs to contain as well as identify some of the other regulatory quirks that may be suited to the investment strategy. v
